Time Out to Bake

Friday found BOTH Glen and Jennifer in the kitchen.
St. Margaret's Wynyard Christmas Tea is
set for Saturday. Contributions for the Bake
Table were the order of the day. Aunt Lu adores
Glen's Irish Tea Biscuits so we thought they would
also be popular with others. He made three batches.
He also whipped up two loaves of stone baked bread.
One loaf was Molasses Oatmeal and the other a
European Onion as well as a dozen crusty butterfly
rolls. Jennifer added a triple batch of lemon
squares and packaged the lot for selling. We haven't
had such a day of baking in a LONG time.

Progress Report

The new light fixture in the powder room.

The new white door is very classy.
I wonder how it will look with all the doors
and new casings.
A few glitches today...we misplaced the
bolts that hold on the new tall toilet...and
discovered that the seat was too short.

Tomorrow is another day.......

And the Project Continues

Do you like the colour on the walls?
Alencon Lace.... is the fancy name.
Mocca....would be a better description.
Brushed nickel taps for the powder room.
New kitchen decor....do you think it
will catch on?

The Little Project That Grew....

It all started with a sale flyer. The six panel white doors that matched
the ones that we had installed on the bedrooms last year were on SALE. We decided to purchase TWO for the side/back entry way. If we were going to replace those.. we should do the bifold for the closet and the pocket door on the powder room as well. While we were in
the mess we should carry the colour right through into that area. Upon
closer inspection the powder room sink had rusted through at the overflow and those taps had always been a bother as they sprayed all over and were hard to turn off. By the time the day was over
yesterday Glen had purchased a new sink, a high toilet, new taps and a new piece of arborite for the powder room. And if we were painting...new white baseboards would really show it off. Here we go again.
Not alot of snow in Saskatchewan YET. It is cold and blustery. Last week Glen officiated at the Ecumenical Legion Service in Theodore. It was a very windy day. Kim and Pam [our nieces] and Nigel our great
nephew came for a visit. We were almost blown away walking across the parking lot to the Legion. Meal time found us feasting
on turkey and all the trimmings at the Rec Centre's annual fall supper.
