Burgomaster's Theodora

Dora is the newest member of the Burgomaster household.
She is a Chocolate Brown Miniature Poodle pup....12 weeks old.
She is a bundle of energy and has us hopping. She is a very
modern dog and has a crate...which she is not too fond of
presently. She was to the vet this afternoon and is up to
date with her shots. She weighs just over five pounds.
She is learning her name....knows sit and come...not too
overjoyed about "outside" but only one puddle so far today.

Christmas Surprise

Last spring on a visit to Regina we acquired this chair
that had belonged to my parents during my
growing up years. In fact I remember the day my
Mom found and bought the chair to go with her
newly decorated living room. on Whitmore Avenue.
She was so pleasedwith it. However it was a little
worse for wear...the cushion inards were totally
disintegrated and there were many scratches and
blemishes on the wood. So it was living in the garage
under several comforters.
Glen decided to have it restored as
a Christmas present for me. He found a lady in
Yorkton who was able to refurbish the cushion...
and Emil as a gift to us refinished the arms and legs.
I am delighted with the finished product and
smile every time I look over at it. It looks as if it
has always belonged in our living room.
Thank you Glen and Emil....I love it!!!!!!

Christmas Blessings

December has been a busy time for the Burgomasters.
Lots of extra activities in the parish. Glen has been
involved in two ecumenical Blue Christmas Services....
as well as a parish Advent Carol Service. All were
well attended. Of course weather has added a new
dimension to the 250 kilometre Sunday Circuit. It
seems that if there is going to be any adverse weather
it chooses Sunday morning to make its presence known.
The back entry is looking very spiffy....the white
doors are all installed. The powder room has an
entirely new updated look. We now have a reproduction
of the Burgomeister hanging on its wall.
This past week we did a Santa Run to Regina. Following
the lodge service at Wadena we continued down Highway
35 and found ourselves at Grandma Jean's in the
early evening. We had a good visit and admired the
lovely Christmas ambiance at the Marian Chateau.
My sister Rhonda was busy with her class...on Thursday
we went to her school's presentation of Christmas at
Bethlehem Gulch. It was a delightful performance.
During his convalescence her husband Reg laid a
new hardwood floor in the living and dining area.
He did an awesome job........
We also had a visit with my brother Greg....
and dropped in on Donna Smith. Also managed
to spend a few $$$$ at Blessings and Dollarama.
We will be heading to Saskatoon for Christmas to spend
the holiday with our nieces and nephews.....it will be the
first Christmas away from home in over 30 years. Glen
is taking his traditional sausage stuffing. We will drive
in after the ChristmasEve Service in Wynyard.
It will be a late night but we have booked into a motel
as Kim's little house is overflowing with people and pets.
We ask your prayers for our seventeen year old great
nephew Nigel who was born with a tumour on
his brain stem and is undergoing pinpoint radiation.
On Boxing Day we are heading to Kindersley to check in on
Aunt Lu and Uncle Murray. Hopefully the weather will
cooperate and the highways will be free and clear.
CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS TO ONE AND ALL!!!!!
